He has a passion for sports (basketball, soccer and lacrosse), school, and his friends and family (one of nine siblings).

Joe Walsh

Co-Founder & Coach

about
Born and raised in Baltimore County, Joe has been playing basketball since the age of 6 when his family of 8 got a front yard hoop. He played throughout high school and briefly at Christendom before two ACL tears sidelined him.

Shortly after his injuries he began his coaching career as Assistant Coach of Christendom’s Woman’s Basketball Team. In 2014 He also took over as Director of Christendom’s Basketball Camps.

Coach Joe has seen the transformative power of sports in his own life, and believes that when they are pursued the right way, sports can be a vital part in a young persons path to virtue.

Jack Hofbauer

Coach

about

Jack Hofbauer is graduating senior at Christendom College and played all four years on the basketball team and was captain of the team in the 2021/22 season.

In addition to playing basketball in high school, Jack developed his leadership skills by being a counselor for YSI leadership and becoming an Eagle Scout.

The Camp Experience You’ve Wanted

We teach players to see their game in 2 main ways:

1. Performance

We train athletes to truly “see” the game:

Fundamentals

We help you understand and develop the fundamental skills of the game proven to help you perform better.

Focus of the Day

Each day of camp we focus on an advanced offensive or defensive skill set to help you know and see how to take your game to the next level.

2. Inner Vision

We train athletes to see sports for more than just the Xs and Os.

Camp Speakers

We bring in guest speakers, as well as leaders from the local community, to speak on topics like: hard work, how to practice, and personal/sports testimonies.

Focus of the Day

Each Focus of the Day is also rooted in a sports virtue like: commitment, integrity, respect and more.

Don’t Just Take Our Word For It.

See What Others Are Saying.

We had 4 children attend the Sports Vision basketball camps this summer. Two in MS girls and two in 7-9yr olds. All four of them would do it again in a heartbeat… They learned so much in way of technique and skill and the feedback about the coaching and drills was excellent! We will definitely be looking forward to these camps next summer!

Of all the basketball camps my kids have gone to, Sports Vision is unique in the way they track progress and try individualize their coaching to the kids based on their strengths and weaknesses. The only camp that provides a post-camp report with an assessment, and pointers for things to work on. My kids have thrived at these camps and we’ll return next year.

My son, Henry, and my daughter, Agnes, really enjoyed the camp. They said that they learned so much about dribbling and shooting. They learned many helpful drills to keep them working from home. They said that there wasn’t a low point in the entire camp. They hope to participate in Sports Vision for many years to come.
